Whose Your Favorite Author?

As a lover of books, I find it hard sometimes to pick just when at the bookstore, don’t you?

This week Michael Hyatt, released a list on the top 100 christian books in 2010. If you haven’t seen it yet, I recommend checking it out.

It came as no surprise that THE SHACK would be among the listed, however I was enlightened to see that REDEEMING LOVE by FRANCINE RIVERS was on that list. And why wouldn’t it? If you haven’t read this book, it’s a must read on your book list for 2011.  This book, is one that has shaped the way I think of Christian romance and inspired me as a writer. It takes someone full of sin and changes their life while allowing God’s work in process of forming a stead fast marriage.

As one would say, it’s an oldy but a goody.

Amongst Francine Rivers I have to say I enjoy most of the authors of the inspirational christian genre. Lenora Worth, Cheryl Watt, Irene Hannan, and Lois Richer — just to name a few.

I’ve recently been introduced to Gail Martin, Darlene Franklin, and Missy Tippins.

Then there will always be a place on my bookshelf for Nora Roberts’ Irish Trilogies. As a teen I snuck these into history class and read with my history book covering my romance novel. I’m pretty sure the teacher knew, but I was passing the class so never a word was said.

So tell me, whose your favorite author?

oh… the winner of last weeks bookmark give away has been notified. Thank you! Next month, I’m thinking of sweetening the pot, so to speak. I’ll let you know as we head into February. I thinking a Valentine’s treat would be a great giveaway.
