Snow Days

So this morning I’m driving down the road with just Bug in the back seat. She says to me, “Mom don’t stop.” (the things three-year olds say, right?”

So I say, “I won’t unless a policeman pulls me over.”

Not expecting her to reply, she says, “Don’t be bad Mom, you won’t get any presents.”

All I could think of was…”Since when is the police in cahoots with Santa?”

That’s where a mother’s mind get’s to be after a crazy week of snow days and finally getting back out of the house to accomplish errands – with my little sidekick along.

What do you do to entertain three kids on a snow day?

Thank goodness I stocked up on hot chocolate and marshmallows¬†before the storm! And, let’s just say there wasn’t a whole lot of writing going on in my house last week. Who can write when your kids are screaming, “FEELS LIKE A MONSTER!” and arguing who gets the microphone next as they play rock band.

At least, they picked a pretty good song by Skillet, I’ll give them that. So today, I’m playing catch up. Last week I talked about heroes. This week we move on to the heroine.

Let’s cross our fingers and hope for no more snow!

Daughter of a dairy farmer, this crafty mom has a heart for all things handmade. When she's not writing or crafting, you can find her creating memories with her family.
