Pikachu vs Manaphy

A birthday just wouldn’t be complete without cake, and lots of it!

Last post I shared the cake I made for my daughter’s birthday, we shared and celebrated as a family. Over the weekend, we took the party to grandma’s house, where my daughter and I put together this cake to share. Notice Pikachu on one end and Manaphy on the other end, with a poke’ ball in the middle.

Thanks to fondant and a great imagination of my daughter, this cake was well… a piece of cake! LOl. Had a lot of fun putting it together, and even more fun spending time with the family.

My daughter can’t wait until Halloween when we celebrate my husband’s birthday to make another cake. I think this one will be a pumpkin, but who knows what my daughter will decide by then!

In the mean time, it’s back to write, write, write, as I prepare my entry for the golden heart contest and make revisions to my other manuscript to present to an inquiring agent.

But as always, another adventure is just around the corner. Tomorrow, my youngest daughter and I will be heading off to the SPCA to visit the puppies and kitties that are waiting for new homes.

Adventure awaits… be back again friday. 🙂

Daughter of a dairy farmer, this crafty mom has a heart for all things handmade. When she's not writing or crafting, you can find her creating memories with her family.
